Creating Daily Affirmations That Align With You

Let me put this plainly: affirmations have changed my life.

I first began using affirmations through Louise Hay's Mirror Work about five years ago when my life crumbled (the way it does from time to time). Since then, practicing affirmations has helped heal my body from an painful back injury, healed my spirit from broken heartedness, healed my relationship with money and increased my income tremendously, AND improved the quality of my daily life.

Because of affirmations, I am lighter, more confident, more trusting, and I just feel GOOD.

An affirmation is a statement used intentionally to challenge limiting beliefs, help reach a goal, heal ourselves and improve our lives.

I read and write affirmations everyday. Here are three of my everyday go-to's:

I am willing to be loved.

My heart is full, my life is full.

So, what is an affirmation?

When I have a specific area I'd like to focus on, I create affirmations to tune into these areas.

For example, during the darkness of my prolonged back injury (think months and months of not being able to sit), I knew I needed to be more intentional with my healing process. This was a turning point. I realized I needed to focus more on what I did want than on what was wrong. I practiced these affirmations and still use them today. They work wonders:

I trust my body to heal.

Healing is natural for me.

I love every cell in my body, I love myself.
